"Kari has known for over a decade exactly the kind of man she wanted to marry. She has told her girlfriends in great detail about this ideal person long before she ever met Mitch. So, when this dream person of integrity, adventure, and Kari's deal-breaker, the Jewish faith, walked into her life, everyone who knew and loved Kari knew immediately that this was the guy she's been hoping for her whole life.
Kari & Mitch grew up on opposite coasts but connected in the Windy City where they now call home. It was important to them that their wedding day unite everyone they love in the place where they're building their life together, so they planned the chicest and intimate wedding in Chicago at Bridgeport Art Center in their Skyline Loft (with PERFECT views of the Chicago Skyline from the second floor).
Knowing she wanted to show off every beautiful location Chicago has to offer, Kari booked a Trolley for her bridal party for a two-hour tour of the city before the wedding. This allowed us to capture some truly iconic imagery on film of Mitch and Kari with all of their favorite friends (and also allowed for a mobile dance party en route to the ceremony!). One of my favorite aspects of Kari's bridal look was her boldness to opt for a blush leather jacket as one of her bridal accessories. It was unique and also complimented Kari's personal style!
In true Jewish tradition, the signing of the Ketubah was one of the most memorable parts of the day. Surrounded by their most intimate family, the sun shone into the windows of the building creating the warmest and beautiful glow. The ceremony chuppah was also stunning, surrounded by beautiful and modern floral displays.”
